In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the wiper arm, not quite the wiper blade, although we do show you on this truck, it has Bosch style wiper blades, so we show you how to replace them as a side note. The wiper arm, sometimes the spring in them can wear out, or sometimes they can get stripped. You don't need any tools to do this. Removing the wiper arm on one of these trucks, it's actually pretty easy.
Right underneath, right here, there's actually a little arm. See how it's pried up. That's down in there. Just put your thumb in there, pry that up. You can see how far up it is there. Then I'm basically grabbing onto it. You push down in the middle of the wiper arm, and then pull up where the transmission post is, where that little clip is. Push down and pull it off like that. This has some Bosch style wiper blades, and I'll just go over that. A lot of times, what happens on these arms is the spring will break, and then you have nothing pressing down on your wipers.
This Bosch style blade, a little lock comes up and you push your arm off. Then re-installation, obviously the ones we sell, they are an exact same as the originals. There's nothing wrong with these. I'm just showing you how to do the installation. Pull the little walking arm up. Make sure that the blade is where you want it on the windshield, and push it down. Now, we can see actually have it a little bit lower than I would like it. We take it off. Start it a little higher here, and push up. The one on the passenger side does it the same way, you'll just need something probably to stand on to get it.
