The back plate on mirror wasn't deep enough to snap into place.
Great item, well worth the money.
A tip for a 2016 Ram 2500....... You have to remove the circular plate from the back of the existing truck mirror. It was hard for me to see that the plate is removable and will snap into the back of the new mirror. Also make sure you have the orientation matched up to the old mirror or it won't go on the truck.
Does not fit a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500. Leads for the mirror defrost were to big. Glass is slightly bigger than the stock mirror and will not seat without falling out. Super disappointed. Waste of time and money.
Mirror was a perfect fit and looks as oem as it can. I made the mistake of not ensuring I had the right mouting plate as there are two different options. If you aren't sure, reach out to 1aauto and I'm sure they will guide you to the right one. Luckily for me, the mirror came unmounted and had the adhesive to stick it to the new mounting plate that came with the mirror. Rather than return and wait another week for the correct part, I used a heat gun and small prybar to (messily) remove the remaining fragments of mirror from my old mounting plate and used the new adhesive tape pad sent with the mirror to mount the new glass to my existing base. Worked perfectly, just made a mess and took me about 20 minutes longer than it would have had I paid a little better attention when ordering!!! I can't remove stars for my lack of research, so this is hands down a 5 star replacement mirror for my 2017 Ram 2500 Laramie with heated extendable chrome mirrors!
Best I can recall yes it comes with mirror, black plastic mount plate stuck to mirror and slide locks. Only issue I remember--make sure before ordering which style you have as far as backplate. I ordered based on year but truck actually was built with "factory aftermarket" mirrors and had to get the different style. Best to take mirror "glass" off to compare pics online. 1A Auto did have both to chose from. Hope this helps
Yes the larger glass will be the "upper" one when the mirrors are flipped up.
