Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
These inside door handles are plastic, and they dry out and break a lot, especially in trucks in a hot and dry climate. If you actually just put your finger through this indoor/outdoor carpet, you'll feel an 8mm bolt right back in here. You need an 8mm socket, and I have a ratchet extension, and if you just put it in right above the handle, put your socket on there and remove the bolt.
As it comes out, I pull on the handle. I'm pulling this way on the handle, and I'm pushing in lightly on the socket and ratchet and extension. What that does is once the bolt is all the way out, my handle and bolt come out together. Remove the bolt from there.
New handle from 1A Auto. It's exactly the same. Obviously, with a broken handle it's going to work a whole lot better. Just put it in, and you have to just make sure you get it beyond the carpet, I guess, and just feel around and start turning the bolt. There you go.

When I broke the drivers door handle on my 1993 F150 I thought this would be an expensive and complicated repair. I was dead wrong. 1A Auto made this very easy. The replacement handle was reasonably priced and the how-to video showed just how simple the repair is. Thanks for the help.

Handle not the problem

Just like OEM so it seems great. I would say if you start having trouble with your door not opening take a look at the bolts holding the handle mechanism in place. When they loosen you have to pull harder to get it to work leading to finally breaking the handle. Replacing the handle will not fix the problem...
