Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to service the bulbs as well as replace the entire taillight assembly on this 2005 Ford Excursion. It's the same part and similar process on these Excursions from 2000-2005, and we show you on the passenger side, but the driver's side is the same procedure. The items you'll need for this include new taillights from 1AAuto.com and a T20 Torx Driver.
Start off by removing these four T20 screws, and we'll fast forward as Don does that. Now, pull the taillight out. To service the bulbs you just twist the socket counter-clockwise, pull the bulb out, push a new one in, and twist it clockwise to lock it, and you do the same thing with this one right here. If you want to replace the entire assembly just twist out both of your sockets.
On the left is the old taillight assembly, on the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical and they're going to fit exactly the same. On the back of our new assembly we're just going to remove these two lower stickers because we don't have a third bulb for the top. Some of the models might. Just twist in your two sockets. Line up those two tabs and push it back into place. Then replace those four T20 screws.
We hope this video helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet. Please feel free to call us toll-free, 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the Internet and in person.

It was very easy to order my tail light through this website, I received confirmation on my order right away and received my part in a couple of days. I would use this site for all my automotive parts.
Parts are Great

Parts are a great value and price. I have ordered several in the past and once received broke but 1A Auto was wonderful at replacing it. Only complaint is the UPS Drivers. Wish another company did the delivery services since UPS doesn't know how to find addresses.
Gasket slightly thicker than OEM
Michael
July 7, 2020
The rubber gasket that came with this lens was slightly thicker than the OEM gasket. I had difficulties getting the screws back in because they needed a little extra length for the thicker gasket. Instead of replacing the screws I put the OEM gasket back on and everything fit as it should.
