Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing or maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20-plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly: that's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the side marker on this 1997 Expedition, same as any '97 to '02 Expedition and also '97 to '03 F150. The only tool you'll need is a T20 Torx driver or actually a 8 millimeter or 9 millimeter socket and ratchet would work too. To replace either the light bulb or to replace the side marker light, you'll need a T20 Torx driver and you remove this bolt right here. Once that bolt is removed then you can just pull it out and then disconnect your harness and you could service the bulb just by twisting and taking it out.
So here's our original. Here is the one then the one from 1A Auto, they're all the same. We can remove the bulb there and put it in to one in the 1A Auto light. So, maybe, you just want to freshen up your lights, put on the nicer, clearer ones, or maybe you got on a little accident and this one is broken. The 1A Auto one is going in nice and easy for you. Connect the harness. You have a groove here, and there's a slot, here that goes into and then a slot here and a groove here that it goes into, so feed the wire back in, make sure your lower part is in that and the slot's in the groove and then feed it back in. Now your pins have to go back and into the fender. Now, you take your T20 screw again and put it in and you're all set.
We hope this video helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet. Please feel free to call us toll-free, 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the Internet and in person.
