You get what you pay for

I bought these ball joints because they were inexpensive. Turns out they were about .004" larger in diameter than the originals, which is a huge amount when you are trying to press it through a control arm. Very time consuming and frustrating. Buy something better than this one.
Tough install with these, but possible for the great price

First, thanks to 1aauto for their awesome how-to videos - couldn't have this much fun without you. Second, the first reviewer is right, these ball joins are slightly bigger than the hole in the lower control arm (LCA) and install is really a test of patience. They will scrap out the hole in the LCA. Because of this, you need almost a 3ft pipe extension on your ratchet on your ball joint press to get enough force to put them in. Third, the flange on these that you're supposed to use for the collar of the ball joint press is just 1mm too small for the most common ball joint press out there, so misalginment is so darn easy. But take great care, and go really slow, and they'll eventually go it. I had to keep rotating my ball joint press in different positions around the LCA hole to keep the new ball joint from misaligning. Tip: put the ball joint in the freezer before you install. It will save an hour. It took 2.5 hours to get the first one fully in, and 1.5 hours for the second

These are not exact replacements. In the picture you can see the the snap ring is a good 1/2" too high for a 1999 F-150.
Customer Q&A
Should lower ball joint boot be removed during installation on f150?

In this installation the boot will be compressed during the ball joint press into the control arm. You should not be required to remove the boot.

Are these sealed or greasable?

Thank you for your inquiry. Our steering and suspension components are pre-greased and sealed for long life and do not require the extra maintenance typically required by greasable versions. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

they were greased when we installed them. I don't remember a zurker to add grease, so I am guessing they are sealed.
