Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, I show you how to service the taillight on this 2003 Ford Focus ZX5. The only tool you'll need is a Phillips screwdriver.
When you open up your tailgate, right down here you'll see a Phillips screw. Remove this screw. Then in here, if you look up through here you'll see an access hole here with a wing nut. Remove that. Now this comes right off. On the back side there are two bulbs. These twist counterclockwise. You actually can pull these little harness clips that pull right off the light. Twist this counterclockwise; it comes out. Twist this one counterclockwise; it comes out. If you're just looking to change the bulbs, this one pulls straight out and this one does the same.
You can see that my current light is in good shape so I'm going to reinstall it. Put the light in. You want to line it up and then twist to lock. Put this one in, twist to lock. Put these back on, the studs. Down in. There's a little tab right up here. You kind of peek back in, see it, it goes into like you wanted and locks into place. Reach up under and put this back up in. Then a Phillips screw goes right into place. Tighten it up, and you're all set.
