Its only a set of 8 studs with nuts so I had to buy 2 packs (enough for one side).

Not sure exactly, but other sources like Advanced Auto parts show that the material is steel. I thought the copper color finish was questionable as to what the composition was Nonetheless, these manifold studs are actually holding very well since I replaced both exhaust manifolds on my F150 last year. The only thing that threw me off was the temporary slight exhaust leak for a couple months after replacing manifolds. Couldve been the Dorman exhaust manifolds I used But now, its as quiet as can be so Im happy with the purchase. I agree with the inclusion (or lack) of material for this product in the description. It wouldnt hurt to say.
