In this video, we'll show you how to replace the signal and side marker light on this 2005 Explorer Sport Trac, the same as any '01 to '05. The only tool you'll need is a Phillips screwdriver.
For Ford Explorer signal light replacement, all you're going to need is a Phillips screwdriver. You're going to start by removing a small Phillips screw right here at the top of the parking light. I'm taking out the screw. I kind of put my fingernail in underneath the head of the screw and pull up a little bit. It doesn't really like to come out otherwise. It kind of spins in there. After you have that out, you grip the light back in here and just pull it out, and basically change the parking light bulb. You can just twist that out, and your parking light is out. You can see there's two pins right here. They go into these grommets right here, so that's kind of what's holding it in.
If you have broken your parking light, see this is the new parking light from 1A Auto here. This is the old. You can see the 1A Auto replacement is exactly the same, a little clearer and shinier. Obviously, it has the same pins on the back here, just like the original. The light will plug in just the same. Obviously, to reinstall the side marker and signal, insert the bulb. Twist. Line up your pins, just place the light in place. As long as you have the light pretty close, it pushes back in. Put your screw in. You're all set.

In this video we will replace the headlights on this 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Track. Same as any 01 to 05 and tools you'll need are Phillips screwdriver and pair of pliers. OK so Ford Explorer headlight replacement you're going to need a Phillips screwdriver and possibly a pair of pliers, although you may just feel to do it with your hands.
Okay, you're going to start by removing a small Phillips screw, right here at the top of the parking light. These may be designed so that you don't have to remove this parking light, but I just find it easier to pull the headlight out of there with the parking light out. This screw you kind of unscrew and I'm working my finger in underneath the head of it to pull it out.
For some reason it just doesn't like pull out very easily. It loosens right up, but it doesn't come out. There it is. Okay. Go down on the parking light, you just give it a little bit of a pull. Okay, you can just kind of hang the parking light off to the right. Obviously, maybe check the bulb see if it's time to replace the bulb, should have an orange bulb on it. Okay. Then the headlight has tabs right on the top here. These tabs I believe are designed to pull up with your hand, but if your car has another part, I suggest a pair of pliers. Just kind of briskly lift up on the tabs. Okay. Then the headlight comes out. Might have to move the tab around a little bit, and then behind, you can either if you're looking to replace the headlight you'll twist this ring and pull the light out. Okay.
Now obviously your headlights free from the vehicle, if you're looking to replace the whole assembly because it's broken or something. Then reinstall. Twist the lock ring. The headlight if you were just wanting to disconnect this it pulls off pretty easy, you just kind of have to pull a tab up, so it will unlock it.
Then to put it back in, you want to look down at the bottom and make sure your bottom connectors are all the way through, then push on it, and then push the tab down and lock it into place. Okay, same thing, push on this side and push the tab down. Okay, if the tab doesn't go down pretty easily, you just want to make sure that you have everything in. I just kind of give it a little pull, make sure it's in there nice and tight. Then you bring your parking light over and push it in. Then screw carefully down in, don't drop it, tighten that up. Okay, there you go.
We hope this helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com. Your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Please feel free to call us toll free 888-844-3393 we're the company that's here for you on the internet and in person.
