In this video, we're going to be working with our 1996 GMC Sierra. We're going to show you how to remove and replace your vehicle's front side marker lights.

Here are the items you'll need for this repair: 13mm wrench and Phillips head screwdriver

Remove the four Phillips head screws on the outside edges of your turn signal. We'll do this using a Phillips head screwdriver. Once the screws are out, you can pull the housing forward and remove the electrical connectors. Repeat these steps on the opposite side.

To remove the lower turn signal, you'll want to turn the bulb socket sideways and remove it. It comes out just like a reflector does, with two 13-millimeter nuts or 1/2-inch nuts. You'll want to remove those with a ratcheting wrench if you have access to one. Otherwise you'll just have to work them off with a regular box or open-end wrench. Repeat these steps on the opposite side.

Here we have our old side marker lights that we removed from our truck and our new parts from 1aauto.com. As you can see, these parts are exactly the same size and shape. Our old ones are faded and foggy. They're not going to let a lot of light through. This one's cracked. It looks like it's been hit with something. Our new ones are in great shape, nice and bright and clear. Same two bulb mounting location on the back of all of these, along with the same bulb socket on all four pieces. If your old side marker lights have cracked, broken, or faded, these new parts from 1A Auto are going to go in direct fit, just like your original equipment and fix you up right.

Install the light into the side marker, as well as your two 13-millimeter nuts. Tighten those down with a 13-millimeter ratcheting wrench. Repeat these steps on the opposite side.

Reinstall the lights into the turn signals. Install them into the grille, along with the four Phillips head screws. Repeat these steps on the opposite side.
