Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the inside door handle on this Honda Accord. The only tools you'll need include a small flat blade screwdriver and a Phillip's screwdriver. This procedure is the same for all doors, and if you don't have power door locks you just won't have to unplug them.
Inside door handle: these break a lot on the inside. There's a Phillip's screw here. Normally there would be a little door that you'd probably pry with a screwdriver to expose the screw. Why don't you just remove that screw, and then you slide the handle forward and pull out. When you pull out, you can see there's a little clip on here. Pull that back with your thumb or screwdriver, pull that up and out, and then your powder door lock if you have them is hooked up right there. Little button, pull it off, and the handle is off.
You can see my handle is in fine shape. A lot of times they'll break in here. The reinstall is easy enough. You'd want to swap you power window switch over to your new one if you have power windows. It's just two Phillip's screw there. Connect that and pull your clip out of the way. Then slide it back. Put your screw back in, and if it had a little door, put in the door to hide the screw.

In this video, we're going to show you internal door handle replacement on this 2003 Honda Odyssey. It's pretty much the same for '99 to '04 Odysseys. We work on the driver's side door, but the passenger side door is the exact same, and this if for the front doors.
For the repair, you're going to need a new interior door handle from 1AAuto.com, and you'll also need a small flat blade screwdriver, and a Phillips screwdriver.
Normally, you would take a small screwdriver, and then there will be a little trap door right here that has a little slot in it, and you just kind of pry that back, and you can see that there's a Phillips screw right there. Remove the screw, slide the handle forward, and pull it out.
Looking from the top, as you pull the handle out, you can see a little clip right here. Use your screwdriver and just pry that clip. Sometimes just using your finger works as well. Pull that clip and pry it out. Then, that rod comes up and out, and then there's just your switch. You can either unplug your switch here, or you're going to transfer your switch over to your new handle anyway, so just remove the two small Phillips screws, and then your handle comes out.
Then, to reinstall the handle, just put your handle in place, start your two screws here. Let's speed it up. I put those screws in by hand first and then just tighten them up firmly. Just kind of get your handle into place, pull the rod out, and put it into the handle. Then just flip that clip around, lock it in place, put your handle back in, slide it back, and then put this screw back in place. Then push that little trap door over.
