At first felt good going in halfway but wouldn't sit flush and can't use the part I have to return. I have a d16y8 and this doesn't fit like OEM

Installed the part, engine still set the 325 code. Replaced it with a $100 part from O'Reilly, and no check engine light or code. My conclusion was 1A sent me the wrong part, or it was defective.
The thread on this knock sensor is sae 1/2. 12mm is the correct thread for 2001 acura RL 3.5 Ca35a1 engine. I did not see a thread designation on the item description. Maybe i missed it???
We do not know the exact socket size, but if you check an online forum for your vehicle, other owner's may share this knowledge.
