Hi. I'm Tony from 1A Auto. I'm here to talk to you today about blower motors. This one is from the 2003 Honda Civic behind me. What your blower motor does is it creates flow in your air vents to circulate your heat and AC. These are really, really common to go bad, not just in the Hondas, but in a lot of vehicles.
As you can see, they're exactly the same. All the same mounting locations, same size fan, and the same connectors. Your blower motor is what allows air to circulate through your vents. So, this controls the flow of heat and AC in your vehicle. If you're turning your switches on, you're not hearing this motor fire up, and you're not getting air blowing through your vents, then a blower motor could be your problem. You can see the part from 1A Auto is a direct fit piece that's going to bolt right in, just like your stock part. It could take care of your problem.

Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video we show you how to replace the AC and Heater Fan Motor on this 2003 Honda Civic, pretty much the same as a 2001 to 2005 Civic. Usually when your blower motor sensor goes bad you hear a groaning or a high-pitched squealing noise. That's the bearings going bad in the motor. Sometimes the electronics just fail and the motor doesn't work. The only tool you'll need for this job is a small or a short flat blade screwdriver.
First start out on your passenger side, underneath your glove box, and there's basically a panel right down here. Reach up in the corner and pull down firmly. There are three clips that hold it. Pull the panel down and out. And right here is your blower motor. There's a lid right here, press in on a tab and pull that down and then you can see pretty straightforward there's three screws one there, one over here, and one right here. Okay, you can use your tools, a torn wrench, a flat blade screwdriver which is the one I'm going with because it's pretty much the most common, and even a socket and ratchet and just remove the three screws.
I'll fast forward here as I remove those three screws. Once you remove the screws the motor just come right down now. And the reinstallation of the new motor is pretty straightforward. Put the motor up in. Make sure that your lid does not get caught up in there and then I'll start all three screws by hand first just to hold it in place and then use your screwdriver or whatever tool you may have chosen and tighten up the screws and then plug the lid back in. As far as our closing panel there's a couple of little rubber stops. They go right up into here, here, and there. I'm just going to put that back in. I'm going to put this side in first. Make sure that one goes up in there, and that one. Okay, the panel it's in place.

Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace your heater and A/C blower motor. This is a 2003 Honda Civic, pretty much the same for 2001 to 2005 Civic as well as other vehicles. You'll need a new heater blower motor from 1AAuto.com, as well as a flat blade screwdriver, T25 Torx Bit, or 8mm socket and ratchet.
The blower motor is located under the passenger dashboard, all the way to the right side. Disconnect the connector on the blower motor and undo these three screws. The screws have provisions for 8mm sockets, flat head screwdrivers, and a T25 Torx Bit. We're going to use a flat blade screwdriver, because it's the most common tool to have.
Remove the blower motor from the HVAC unit. Here we have our old part from the vehicle, and our new part from 1AAuto.com.
As you can see, they're exactly the same. We have the same size fan, same mounting locations, top and bottom. Flip them over, we have the same 2-Pin Connector on each. Your blower motor is what's responsible for circulating air through your vents. This means getting your heat and A/C actually blowing through the car. If you're turning your switches on and you're not hearing this motor spin, or the motor's making a lot of noise, you're not getting proper airflow through your vents, a blower motor could be your problem.
This part from 1A Auto is going to bolt right in just like the original piece, direct fit. Reinstall the blower motor into the HVAC unit. Start all three screws by hand so you don't have to support the motor. Make sure it goes in straight. Tighten them back up with your flat blade screwdriver, Torx Bit, or 8mm socket, depending on whatever you want to use. Once your screws are tight, reinstall your 2-Pin Connector.
Thanks for tuning in. We hope this video helped you out. Next time you need parts for your car, please visit 1AAuto.com. Also check out our other helpful how-to and diagnosis videos.

This company is absolutely the best. I'm don't have much knowledge on cars, and normally would take it in to professionals. Decided to look into doing it myself. Saved over $200. Has tons of parts with very helpful tutorials. Definitely will be back for future things.
