I changed out my idle air control valve, but it was not necessary. The replacement worked perfectly and fitted perfectly.

When first one that was sent was lost in shipment A1Auto sent a different one which arrived in just a few days. Part was of high quality and fit perfect. Fixed my idling problem on 1994 Chev c1500 with 4.3L Thanks
Its possible that part could be stuck closed. Only way to know for sure is to remove it an clean it. However I would also buy a throttle position sensor and replace both parts at the same time
Some have to be set
I had no issues installing. Comes with a gasket just tighten till tight don't try to muscle it.
On a 91 camaro tpi 305 it is located on the lower passenger side of the throttle body near the tps sensor as well
