Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace an ignition coil on this 2008 Dodge Caliber with the 2L engine. It's the same part and process on every year of the Caliber with this engine. The only tools you'll need include a new ignition coil from 1AAuto.com and a T30 Torx bit and ratchet or T30 Torx Driver.
Your four ignition coils are right here. You want to start off by disconnecting this harness. Just push down on the tab and pull it free. Next, remove this T30 bolt and then the ignition coil will pull off the mount.
On the left is the old ignition coil; on the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see that they're identical and will mount exactly the same. Put the new ignition coil down into place, replace that T30 Torx's bolt, and tighten it up. Then reconnect your harness, repeat for the other three, and you're all set.
