I hope this how-to video helps you out and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks. In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the throttle position sensor on this 2006 Jeep Liberty with the 3.7 liter V-6 engine. The only tool you'll need is a T20 Torx bit and a ratchet.
Your throttle position sensor is located right here. You want to start off by pulling out this red clip on the harness, pushing the tab and pulling the harness free. On your throttle position sensor, there are two T20 Torx bolts. There's one there and one right there. Just go ahead and remove those. We'll fast-forward as Don does this. Once those are removed, the throttle position sensor will pull right off. Then take your new one, push it into place and replace those two T20 Torx bolts. Again, we'll fast-forward as Don just tightens those up. Reconnect your harness. Push in the red clip and you're all set.
