Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the blower motor resistor on this 2006 Jeep Liberty. The only items that you're going to need include a 90-degree pick, an 8mm socket, and a ratchet.
Start off by opening your glove box. Push in on the sides, and then pull the glove box down. Your blower motor resistor is located right here. Using a 90-degree pick, pry the red clip underneath the harness out, push the tab on the harness, and pull it free. Next, remove these two 8mm bolts. We'll just fast-forward as Don does this. Now, the blower motor resistor will pull out.
Push your new blower motor resister into place and replace those two 8mm bolts. Then just tighten them up with the ratchet. Reconnect your harness, and then push that red clip in to lock it. Then push your glove box back up into place.
