Nice equipment
Mirror functions as its supposed to. Challenges on this particular Replacement are: 1. If replacing with OEM as came on our 2014 Cx-5, the original mirror had long bolts which fed into the body of the mirror. THIS replacement has threaded studs and feeds through the exterior of the door. NOTE, if you have a similar setup, youll have to locate nuts to secure mirror as the kit does not include any. 2. Original/factory mirror has ball sockets which the mirror glass mounts to. In order to access the inside components or to remove the painted cap on the OEM mirror, you would need to acces this. NOTE: DO NOT PULL on this unit, as the mirror does not have the same attachment. Aka - mirror is not able to be removed; permanently secured to mirror housing. Learned this the hard way. 1A Auto was good and helped me out when this last note caused me to crack the glass when attempting to replace the OEM painted cap. Because our car is black, decided to use the black cap.
