Great product
These are a good quality strut. Ive driven on them for a few weeks. Good performance. I read by some they leave the mini sitting to high up front. If you lubricate the collar slightly before installing and make sure to slide them all the way down into the collar, there is a line up slot on the strut to line up with the bolt that tightens the strut to the collar. Be sure to match them. Then and only then the car sits perfect. You may have to use a hammer to tap the collar all the way down. Be patient.. you will be happy with your purchase
Overall these strut assemblys fit my 2005 Mini Cooper S and seem to be working fine. My post is to let others know that they are not the same length as the original struts. Mine were the original factory struts and the TRQ Struts are almost a full inch longer. I got them to seed into the steering knuckle, but you have to really play with it and use an adjuster to get it to seed. Definitely not as easy as the originals. Again, I am pleased by with the parts, but I thought it was worth mentioning the length difference since these are not a "to spec" part.
I recently ordered two struts for my Mini Cooper. The sales person that I spoke with was very knowledgeable and courteous. The struts were shipped very quickly and arrived at my door ahead of schedule. The struts fit like a glove and did I mention that that were a quarter of the price compared to the dealer. I strongly recommend 1aauto for you future parts needs ??
DIY, weekend warrior, task of replacing the struts on my car. The parts came in very timely manner, and were a perfect fit for my car. The swap out was seamless and the parts are performing perfectly. The price point was super affordable. Very satisfied with the product and purchasing experience.
The order & delivery process was seamless & nearly effortless. My parts are installed & performing beautifully. I look forward to doing business with you again.
Overall a good part, can be a little tricky to get it but was definitely doable. Ive had it installed for about 3 weeks with no issues.
After searching for a few days looking at the different options for the Complete Strut Assembly for my car, I found the TRQ Complete Struts. Knowing that I had to replace my current struts and all, I jumped on the low price and made the purchase. The arrived quickly and well packaged. Upon removing them from the boxes, I was impressed by them. Removing the old ones were challenging as they had been on long beyond when they should have been removed and replaced. After installation, drove the car around the block, WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Now I have made an alignment appointment and we shall see how they do going forward. Thanks 1A Auto and TRQ
Order struts for both side of the front. Received both parts labeled correctly but they would not go on correctly turned out they sent me one side strut in two different boxes labeled left and right. Still waiting for my return request to be answered going on three weeks no response from A1.
Yes, the parts are built to the same OE specifications and should be the same fit.
A lowering spring would not be able to fit properly for this vehicle. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
The old strut and spring will have sagged a bit over time and will usually be a bit shorter than a new assembly. Thank you!
Yes, the strut mounts on the top of our assemblies contain the bearings for a one piece replacement.
We have a few different aftermarket companies build these parts specifically for us, as our 1A Auto house brand. They are manufactured to the same OEM specifications as the original part that came with your vehicle. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
