Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace an ignition coil on this 2004 Nissan Titan with the 5.6 liter V8 engine. The items you need for this are a new ignition coil from 1AAuto.com and a 10 millimeter socket and ratchet.
Because this is a V8, you have 8 ignition coils. There's one right here that you have to go over the hose to get. Then you have these three. On the other side, you have the other four. All of these, you can access just from the front. We're going to show you on one, that's a little easier to see. You just want to start off by pushing the tab on the harness and disconnecting it. Then remove this 10 millimeter bolt that holds the ignition coil into place. Then we'll just fast forward as Don removes that. Once the bolts remove, the ignition coil will just pull up and out.
On the left is the old ignition coil. On the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical and they're going to fit exactly the same. Push a new ignition coil down into place and the replace that 10 millimeter bolt. Then we'll just fast forward as Don does this and tightens it out. Now, reconnect your harness and you're all set.
