Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the blower motor in a 2003 Nissan Frontier. It's pretty much the same operation for years 2001 through 2004. You'll need new blower motor from 1AAuto.com as well as a Phillips head screwdriver.
The blower motor on this Nissan Frontier is located behind the glove box, so it will be necessary to remove that glove box. What holds it in place are 6 Phillips head screws. You'll see two, three, four, on the top and then one on either side on the bottom. Open the glove box and start to remove those six screws, and I'll go ahead and I'll fast-forward as I do that. Pull the glove box down and out of the way.
Here's an up close shot of that blower motor right there. It's held in by three screws. They are Phillips heads. Let's first take a pocket screwdriver and press the connector there. Get that off and pull it out of the way. Then you can go ahead and pull that rubber elbow out of the way. Now, you can remove the three Phillips head screws that hold it into place, pull the fan out, and I will fast-forward as I do that. Here's a side by side of the old part. The new part from 1A Auto, it's a direct replacement fit part.
Install your new fan from 1A Auto. Line up your tabs in the holes for the screws, and then go ahead and reinstall the three screws that hold it in and I'll fast-forward as I do that. Reinstall the plastic elbow and then plug your fan back in. With the new fan in place and everything plugged back in you can go ahead and reinstall your glove box and those six Phillips head screws that hold it into place. I'll go ahead and fast forward as I do that.
