You can ratchet it to compress it or to loosen this up, and this will work with six-piston calipers, dual-piston calipers. You can take these plates off if you have smaller calipers. When you need to spread them, no better tool.
Did not ratchet properly. WD-40 lubrication inside helped. Before next usage, it will have grease. Once it was freed up, it worked well.
Great product especially for dual piston calipers. It compresses both calipers at the same time. Was a little big for the rear calipers but I made it work.
Great little tool
This is an unbelievable tool, I wish I had it many years ago to reposition the caliper pistons on those many units too stubborn to move. Great tool!

When I saw this product for the brake caliper, man I was like surprised and also excited as well because I do all kind of brake jobs and especially the ones that have a double piston, this will work prefect not to mention its a lot faster being that its like a ratchet tool and will push the piston quickly in and safer as well, so thank you for whoever thought of this and made this product because believe it or not its a saver and time consuming as well for us mechanics and also part-time mechanics and for the ones that are learning as well, so I say if you can get one please do because believe me you will not be disappointed at all trust me,
Tool was very well designed! I am a pipefitter by trade and have used similar home made tools to fit pipe together. Was very helpful and made the job more smooth.
This made pressing the brake calipers back, pressing them both at the same time equally, so much easier. The ratcheting effect was great and easy to use. Trying to pull of the same with a large C clamp is just a bit more difficult, but this tool made it a breeze!
This tool is made in Taiwan.
