If you need to remove the serpentine belt, you can buy this serpentine belt tool from 1AAuto.com. It comes with several attachments. So it's this extension handle to give you extra leverage. Sometimes you need it with strong spring tensioners. It has some crows feet, a 13mm, a 14mm, and a 15mm. To get to the bolt or whatever you need to turn on to release the tensioner. It also comes with a 15mm socket, a 16mm socket, and an 18mm socket. These all fit on the end of here. Use it in whatever direction you need.
It also comes with a extension piece, so if the tensioner has a 1/2" opening, this is 3/8ths. This ones 1/2". You can use this in a couple of manners. You can put it straight on, you can turn it this way, you can turn it this way. Whichever way you need to get that tensioner undone. So it's a pretty versatile tool. Great product! Did the job perfectly. Delivery was okay too.
It was obvious to me that this item I thought was specific to my application, it was not. It is more of a generic tool that can be used for other cars as well. It did take some time to understand the usage for my car. Once understood, the tool was fine for what it is.
Very easy to use. However the ball that holds the attachment on fell out and I lost it the first time using it. Didnt make the tool not useable but just harder to use. The length of the tool makes it very easy to release tension of a pulley with ease. And its very easy to fit in tight spaces just what I needed it for.
