When compared to the OEM parts removed from the car it was clear there is a finishing quality difference. 1) The hardware used to secure the bellows on the steering rack are junk. I reused the OEM hardware. 2) The outer ball joints are secured with a nylock nut instead of a castle nut and cotter pin. I'm not super confident in this, but we shall see. Another clear cost cutting measure. 3) The lock nut for the outer tie rod is more narrow and larger diameter than OEM which seemed strange. Why do you need a lock nut larger than 20mm? 4) I'm not sold on the finish of the coating for the parts. I hope they hold up as well as OEM. The car steers and feels fine after the install, so we shall see how the durability is long term.
I am a fairly decent backyard mechanic. I purchased a set of inner and outer tie rods for some really worn parts. I received them as promised. They fit well and appear to be good quality. Time will tell.
