Very disappointed! And I've never left a bad review anywhere before but I feel it's warranted. I bought this set of axles for my 2012 golf base model. Shipping time was good. Price is good. Opened box, passenger was wet inside the box. The stainless band had a dent and a slit in the boot! I didn't want to deal with, or have time sending it back through the mail so I bought another one at Napa. It was fine. PART 2- ONLY 3,000 MILES AND DRIVERS SIDE BOOT IS SLIT AND GREASE EVERYWHERE! Now I have to replace it again! I've bought on this site previously with no problems but this really makes me upset. Side note- I bought both from hub bearings here too. So far so good on them.

Inner CV joints are typically held in place by a C-shaped clip at the end of the splines. While a prybar can be used, a proper CV axle tool wedged between the transmission and joint will safely allow enough force to pop the axle out of the case without damaging the car or the installer.
All of our CV Axle assemblies come with their joints pre-greased.
