After discovering the torn boots on my daughters axle shafts I thought I had a huge problem to deal with. Ordered a pair of your shafts at an exceptionally affordable price & they arrived rapidly. The installation was a snap with the shafts popping right in after the removal of the old parts. It was an easy job!
Wrong parts received.

Customer Q&A
I have a 03 Passat 1.8 automatic , FWD , that has the CV joints going out. Would it be wise to just replace both front axles instead of just the outer CV joints? I bought the car used a little over a year ago.

I would recommend replacing the whole axle as it is faster and you don't have to do the job again anytime soon when the inner joint finishes wearing out. By the time you have torn the car apart enough to replace the outer joint it only takes removing six additional screws and the whole thing is on the floor. Good luck! Don H.

As far as a technical standpoint, its is much easier to do the entire shaft labor wide. Its not necessary to do both if only 1 is bad but if your upwards of 100K for miles, its worth the investment. NOTE: Pretty sure the inner bolts on these are a Triple Square. You may want to research this before you tackle the job.

I don't know the condition of your car, but the cv joints is where I'd focus my attention. No need to replace the inner axle if it is ok. The CV joints should suffice.

Yes. There is no sense in waiting till the other one starts to go bad. Replacing both will save u time and money in the long run. Especially at this price
