Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the fan or the ac or heater blower motor on this 2000 Ford Mustang, same as any 1994 to 2004 Ford Mustang. The only tool you'll need is an 8mm socket with a ratchet and extension. You usually know if your blower motor is going if it's making a loud groaning noise or a high pitched noise that changes with the speed of the fan.
Your blower motor is right in here, underneath and there are three screws: one there, one right over here and one down here. You'll want to take and pull out and down on that connection there, just to pull it loose. I'm going to fast forward just through removing those three, 8mm bolts. Pull it down and then it's connected right here. Pull up on this tab and off.
Your motor from 1A Auto connects just like the original. Put our cover back on and up in there, turn up and in. There's a line up tab right there. Just make sure your wires are coming up out of the case right above here. Go up in, that alignment tab there and now it's in place.
I'll start one of my bolts. I'm going to speed up here again. Start each of those bolts in by hand first, then use your socket, ratchet and extension and tighten them up. You want to tighten them up firm, but don't over tighten them, because you can strip the plastic.

Needed to do some grinding of the plastic inside to get all the holes for the screws to go through to install. Added about 20 minutes to install. Aside from that replacement works well and is much quieter.
