The sensor plug was incorrect for my truck so i had to take the old sensor to get the right fit

This part is straight from ford. It even says ford on the part. Worked perfect on my Mazda b4000. Very easy and straight forward repair. Only not so good thing about this is the price.

Does this assembly include the sensor to control door chime and dome light etc?

Thanks for your question! There is an electrical plug on the latch assembly. This usually indicates there is a switch in the assembly for the door chime, etc. We are not able to guarantee that's what the plug actually is, but these sensors are usually included in these assemblies. Thank you!
