BAD DESIGN, not OEM

I gave this product 1 star, because of the difficulty to install, as the spring loaded tab that is on the OEM unit is not part of the TRQ unit. The OEM tensioner has this spring loaded tab to facilitate release of the belt tension, so as to be able to change the belt on the side of the road without any special tools or the need to remove any additional hardware. The TRQ tensioner deleted this spring loaded part, therefore requiring a 1/2" drive specialized tool, to relieve the belt tension. On the F series Ford trucks with the 6.0 diesel engine, there are hoses and other hardware that interfere with the 1/2" specialized tool workmanship. Therefore requiring removal of the radiator for access to the 1/2" hole. Normally this would be a 30 minute project with the OEM part, it took 3 hours with the TRQ part.

Price was good and delivery was fast. Quality appeared good however once installed it squeaks. After 10 mins or so the sounds starts to go away. The whole reason I did a complete replacement was due to the noises the original system was making. Feel it was a waste of time although I know the original was tired. Wouldn't recommend.
