Customer Q&A
where is my crank Shaft sensor located on the car?

if you are talking about a late model Impala it is behind the crankshaft pulley. Put the front of the car up on jacks, take off the front passenger wheel, take off the plastic cover that separates the wheel well from the engine, take off the serpentine belt, take the crankshaft pulley off and there it is.

If I can remember correctly, the crankshaft position sensor on a 3.8l is behind your harmonic balancer.
