Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we are going to show you how to replace the mass airflow sensor on this 1996 Chevy Tahoe. The only items you are going to need for this is a mass airflow sensor from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver.
Start off by prying off this tab and pulling back the harness. Now, using a flat blade screwdriver, loosen up this hose clamp and this hose clamp right here. We'll just fast-forward as Don does that. Now, pull the hose back and pull it up and off. Just loosen up this hose clamp and pull your mass airflow sensor free from the hose.
Pull the other end off and push that onto your new mass airflow sensor. Push the other end of the hose onto your mass airflow sensor. Just tighten up that clamp. Push the longer end of the hose in first and then push it back. Push the other end in. Make sure it is in place. Then tighten up those two hose clamps. Reconnect your harness and you are all set.
