Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the rear door weather stripping on this 2002 Chevy Suburban. We show you on the passenger side, but the driver's side is the same procedure. The items you'll need for this are new weather stripping from 1aauto.com, a flat blade screwdriver, and wire cutters.
Using your flat blade screwdriver, pry up this panel and set it aside. Lift up the weather stripping at the seam and start pulling it out from around the door.
On the left, is the old weather stripping. On the right, is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see it's identical and it's going to fit exactly the same. Start pushing the weather stripping down around the seam and then use your flat blade screwdriver to pry back the panel while you tuck it in behind it. We'll fast forward as Don does this. When you get to this handle it gets a little more difficult. The handle's on there pretty good so what you have to do is pull back as far as you can on the handle, while pushing the weather stripping in underneath and just keep feeding it underneath until you get it to push in. When it does finally push in, you'll both feel and hear it go into place. Now that he's got it started we're going to fast forward as he does the rest of it and continue to fast forward as he goes down around the panel here and down to the bottom. You're going to have a little bit of extra most likely. Use some wire cutters to cut that extra off. Then push that end down into place.
Some of the clips from this panel may have stayed in here and the best way to remove them is to push them down through the slot and then push them out the other side. Set them aside and if they get bent just open them back up again with the flat blade screwdriver and then you want to push them onto these tabs. Once they're all back into place just push that panel back down and you're all set.
We hope this video helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet. Please feel free to call us toll-free, 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the Internet and in person.

Quieted my trucks door right up! Leaky windy seals do not necessarily look bad but have shrank and distorted over the years . This did the trick ! ! I I have a quiet ride in the highway again.
Thanks 1aauto!
No more wind noise!

Installed in my 2006 Silverado extended cab on the driver's side. After watching a couple of videos on how to install this (unfortunately there wasn't one for my truck) I gave it a shot. It went on fairly easy, but I did have trouble going around the rear door / rear seat panel since I couldn't figure out how to pull it loose, but after some trial and error I was able to work it into the tight spots with a thin scraper. I used to hear a roar coming in when driving into howling winds, now all I hear is a whisper. I should have bought this a couple of years ago.

My GMC Sierra is 17 years old and was leaking air around doors, this weather stripping fixed the problem and is quiet again. It looks just like the original stipping and was easy to put on. Very good product, wish I did it sooner.

This is exactly what i needed. I searched all over and gave a1 a try which was good. This fit exactly in the groove but a little too long which i cut off, tried to make sure it was not stretched making it long but it was good. Does not say in the instructions to cut off extra. Will order from from them in the future.

This is the part you need to teplace driver and passenger side on 2007 2500HD classic. Order 2 and you will be all set. Some trim removal makes for easy install, rather than fighting with plastic trim.

As good as can be expected, if you have an extended cab with 4-doors, make sure you order this part number twice, the other one is meant for the 3-door cabs and won't be long enough. Customer service is excellent, and helped me when I made that mistake. Part fits perfectly, easy to install, comes with adhesive already in the groove.
