Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet. Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video we're going to show you how to replace the blower motor on this 2014 GMC Terrain. The only tools you'll need for this is a 7 millimeter socket and a quarter inch socket and a ratchet. On the passenger side, underneath the glove box, you want to remove this panel. It's held in with three 7 millimeter bolts. One more, the third one right there. We'll just fast forward as Don removes all three of those. Now pull this panel straight back so it releases this clip.
Next you want to disconnect your blower motor harness. To do that you just push on the tab and pull the harness free. Next you want to remove these three quarter inch bolts. There's two right here and then one on the back. We'll just fast forward as Don removes all three of those. Once those are removed, you can pull your blower motor down and out. You want to pull this harness free. Now your blower motor's free. Take your new one, push it up into place, and then replace those three quarter inch bolts and reconnect the harness. Take this panel and you want to push these two clips into these two slots. Push them back in and push the panel up and then replace those 7 millimeter bolts. Then you're all set.

Here are the items you'll need for this repair: 7mm socket and ratchet, ¼ inch socket, socket extension
Remove the two 7 millimeter screws, securing this panel underneath the passenger side floor. We'll do this using the 7 millimeter socket ratchet and extension. Once the two screws are removed, remove the panel from under the dash. You'll have to push it over to the passenger side to release it from its hook next to the blower motor. Remove the panel from the vehicle.
Remove this harness bracket from the bottom of the blower motor, push down and release the electrical connector. Remove the three quarter inch screws around the blower motor. We'll do this with a socket ratchet and extension. Support the blower motor while removing the last screw and remove the blower motor from the HVAC box.
Re-install the blower motor. Be sure not to pinch any harnesses, and make sure that the connector for the motor is facing the right way. Start your quarter inch screws by hand before tightening them down with your socket and ratchet. Reconnect the electrical connector and snap the harness retainer back into place. Reinstall the under dash cover. Remember it goes to the passenger side first and we'll have to pull it over. Reinstall the two 7 millimeter screws. We'll start these by hand and then tighten them down with a socket and ratchet.

Yes, the system uses the same fan assembly. Thanks!

Yes, this blower motor blows cold air through the system when the AC is on and also the warm air when the heat is on. It essentially blows air through the HVAC system regardless of whether you are using heat or AC. I had to replace my blower motor when it started making constant ticking/tapping noises. Swapped it out for a new one and the ticking/tapping went away. This was a direct bolt in replacement.

Yes it is. Installation is easy except that you have to lay on your back to change fan. I laid a duffle bag outside the passenger door in order to bring my butt up to rocker panel height.
