Brought to you by 1AAuto.com. Your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. In this video, I'm going to show you how to replace the air temperature door actuator on this 2003 Ford F250. This is the same for any '99 to '07 F250, F350, any of the Super Duty pick-ups that have manual controlled air conditioning.
The symptom of this going bad is that when you turn your temperature on your AC system to hot or cold, or whatever, you're just not really getting the air temperature coming out of the vents that you want. This air door is actually pretty easy. Open up your glove compartment. Squeeze the side. Squeeze that side and glove compartment comes down. Your actuator is right here. Disconnect the harness. Disconnect the harness by pushing up on a tab here and pulling out. Now you just need a flat blade screwdriver right in under there. Pry up. Then go further back and pry up. The actuator comes up and out. Here's our old one. Here's our new one.
You can see that the actuators are in a little different position, that's more like that. From looking at it as it's sitting in the truck, this one is like that. It's turned just a little more like that. What I'm going to do is put this one up in the hole. You can't really see it, but you can feel the hole. See where the tip of my finger is right down here, that's where the hole is that the actuator goes into. I'm going to put my actuator up in there. Make sure my harness is out of the way. The shaft is going down in. Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to turn it. It pushes down a little more. Now bring it back where it should be. Now these are wind up. Push it down on. Plug it in. Then we hang a little box up. Push it in. Push it in. You're all set.
We hope this helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com. Your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Please feel free to call us toll free: 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the internet and in person.

Replaced my factory blend door with this one. The new one works but is a bit slower in moving then the OE one. Other then it being a little slow, works as it should.
