Hi. My name is Mike Green. I want to help you save time and money repairing your vehicle. I have 20 plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks. My company, 1A Auto, sells high quality replacement parts over the internet. In this video I'll be showing you how to install these parts. By the end of this video, you'll know how to install and where to get them. That's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video. In this video we'll be installing a mirror on a 1998 Nissan Altima. This is basically the same as '98 to '06. We'll be working with the driver's side door. Tools required are just a 10mm socket with a ratchet and maybe an extension.
The first step is to remove the interior panel which just pulls off if you pull firmly and then inside, you want to unplug the harness which basically just involves pressing a small button and pulling. Then, there is three 10mm bolts or knots to remove and then as you remove those, obviously, hold onto the mirror and once they're removed the mirror is free to be replaced or repaired as needed.
Installation is basically just reverse. Get the mirror onto the door correctly. Thread on the bolts or the knots then tighten the knots up and they don't have to be incredibly tight, just hand tight. You can see I'm just tightening it on my hand. Plug the harness back in and put the panel back on. Pretty easy replacement for you. Basic tools and it only takes a few minutes.
