Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality auto replacement parts and the bets service on the internet. Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I'm going to use my 20 plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly, that's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
In this video, we'll be replacing a mirror on this 2003 Dodge Neon, same as any 2000 to 2005 Dodge or Plymouth Neon. The tools you're going to use are Philips screwdriver, a flat blade screwdriver, a putty knife or a door panel clip tool and an 8mm wrench or socket and ratchet. You do have to remove the door panel. I'm going to fast forward through this in interest of YouTube 10 minute limit. If you want to see this in regular speed, you can just search our other videos and just search it for Neon door panel and you can see this video in regular speed but most probably can probably pick up enough from this fast motion to understand how to get your door panel on and off. This will play for another 10 or 15 seconds and then we'll get into the mirror.
I'll undo this whole clip here that holds the wire harness and it pulls up and off. Okay. Then we're going to undo these three 8mm bolts, one here, one here, one below this little water shield that we can take off the bottom at least anyways. Okay. I'll undo those. Okay, take this last, pull that off. Take the harness through. Your old and broken mirror is off. You can take your new mirror then reverse the procedure. Take the harness through. Okay. Put your bolts on. Now, tighten these up. Make sure your harness here is not pinched anywhere. Keep tightening this one up. These bolts, it's made of plastic so they don't have to be incredibly tight but they should be firm. Okay. Just stick this water shield back on. Put the pin back in. Plug in your connection. Put it back on the clip here. Okay. Then what we can do is do a quick test here. It is working. Okay.
Now, we'll remove this. Put the door panel back on and you're all set to go. Then again, we're going to go into fast motion to get the door panel back on. If you want to see this in regular speed, again, just search our videos for Neon door panel. We thank you. The parts in this video are available from 1AAuto.com. We hope this helps you out. Thank you very much.
