It worked great and on this 2006 ford freestyle it fixed his problem of having the vehicle go into fail safe every time he tried to started it. Glad the price was right and that it was very simple to install.

How do you know if you need the heated one ?

Please review the image in the listing which shows the difference between models with heated and models without. The heated design will have two water pipes whereas models without do not have any water pipes.

I imagine a heated one is mostly needed in very cold climates. Also, my vehicle originally came with the coolant lines and I was not interested in altering the original build. Also, the real source of my issue was with the air intake. There was a break before the throttle body but after the filter. This caused a small filter bypass. It was not a big problem except I think it threw off the air gas mixture. Also after coming off the interstate when things were hot it triggered a limp mode. It also threw throttle codes. The darn shop I brought it to initially misdiagnosed it as my plug wires which I knew were good because I had tested them for continuity.
