Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
Coolant overflow bottle is located here on the front driver's side. If you want to replace it because yours is cracked or broken, you can unscrew the cap. Pop the hose out of the little rubber out of the little plastic hooks. Just lay it up here. I'm wearing gloves because it's got coolant in it and you can kind of just reach in and pull up on it, it slides off a bracket. It slides straight out. Ours still has some coolant in it.
Here's our old cooler reservoir, still has coolant in it. This is our brand new one from 1AAuto.com. You can see it is an exact match and size. It has the same style of tab that's going to slide over the bracket. It's got the little hooks for the hose. The main max lines, comes with a new cap, there's a hose inside.
And the spot for the hose that goes here is going to connect here. So this should fit great in the car and work perfectly. We'll slide our new one down in to place on the bracket. This bracket right here next to the battery tray. Lined up. Slides right in to place. Open up the cap. I'm curious to see if this would fit. You could reuse your original cap if you like. But we're going to put the nice yellow cap on.
Put this into place. Pull the hose off of here. Just going to use a right angle pick and just slide it in here. Just break the seal against the plastic and the rubber. Place that on the new one. Just push it right over. Clip that in to the little hooks. Now what we can do is unscrew it, and I'm just going to take a funnel and our old coolant reservoir, and dump the extra coolant back in to it. We'll reinstall the cap.
