Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
I'm going to use a small flat bladed screwdriver to pop this up. I'm going to use an 8mm socket, an extension, and a ratchet to remove this 8mm bolt. I'll put that aside. I had to wedge a small flat bladed screwdriver in there, because there's no relief to get a screwdriver in. I'll use the other part of my plastic trim tool and get the plastic trim tool under here. Very difficult to remove. You just have to keep working at it. Remove the 8mm bolt. At the bottom of the door, there are two 6mm bolts. Use a 6mm socket, and remove those.
These are actually more like self-tapping screws with a 6mm head. So you can't pull on the door straight out. It has to go up first. You want to lift it up, just like that, and then off of the door panel. We'll reach in here, remove the door handle. You need to unlock this cable from the plastic trim. I'm using some needle nose pliers. Push in on the tabs. I'll push it out and through, and then put the little lead ball that's on the end of it, it's more like a cylinder, but it'll pop right out. I want to unplug the power folding mirror switch. Reach underneath, push the lock in, and pull it down.
Now, I want to do the same for the master window switch. Push in on the lock, and pull this down. Push down on all these locks, now the door panel will come off. The mirror plug is up here behind this plastic. You don't really need to peel it all back. There's a lock in there, I'm going to push it. It might be easier with my other finger, and then pull just like that. And I'll just leave it like that. There are three nuts on the studs holding the mirror to the body. I'm going to use 11-millimeter deep socket and remove them. Put those aside so you can reuse them. It should pull out of the door straight right out.
We have our broken mirror. Here's our original, broken mirror from our vehicle. A brand new towing mirror from 1AAuto.com. It has the same power fold option. This will manual telescope, you have to really push on it. That way it doesn't slide in on you. It's got a turn signal is up here, as opposed to being down here. It also has the memory function for the mirror. And this should fit great and really look great on our vehicle. This new mirror does come with hardware. I'm going to reuse the old ones, and I'll just take these off. Since the old ones are in good shape and they have a wider base, I'm going to use these instead. To feed these wires through the opening, push our mirror in to the door panel. It also helps to have the window down so you can just reach through. Capture one of these so the mirror doesn't fall. Capture the other ones. Now I'm going to tighten these down, kind of bring them in evenly. You can see the mirror getting tight against the door. As soon as I feel them get tight, I'll just go a little turn more. You don't want to over-tighten them and pull the studs out of the plastic, so we'll go a little more just like that. Put our harness back up, plug it in. Stuff that up into the door. That just kind of sat over that.
See these hooks are on the edge of the door panel instead of clips, so just while I hook everything up, I'm going to rest the door panel just like that so I don't have to hold it, and just push it against myself so it doesn't fall backwards, and hook the door release handle cable right here. It's going to push through.
I'm going to reach down and plug in the master window switch. I may have to push the door panel in. Kind of feel for these. Get this one in there. Now, I'm going to put the door panel up, and I push it, and get it hooked in place. You also have to capture this, the door lock little plunger. That can be tricky to line up. Make sure the door's unlocked, because it will make it this much taller and easier to line up. So that's it.
Door panel is hooked to the doorframe. Now I can bolt it back up. Put the bottom self-tapping bolts back in. Install the bolt behind the door handle. Install the bolt in the little door pull area. Install the little trim piece. Snaps down into place. Reinstall the trim that goes behind the door handle. Go this way with it. It snaps into place.

Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
To remove the master window switch we'll use a plastic prying tool. You can get this from 1A Auto. This way we don't damage the trim. Gently slide it up in here and help pop it up off the clips. There's a clip on this side, so I'm going to work it in. So you're basically just trying to pull it straight up off of these white clips here and then these clips here that push into the door panel. The lock on the connector is here. Push that in and pull the connector out. Use my plastic trim tool to help me. It’s kind of a small clip, so I'm going to push it in and take it off.
Now remove the small trim that's on top of the door panel. Use the plastic trim tool again. Get underneath here, and gently pry it off. You can almost access the mirror. We'll take the rest of the door panel off. Screw behind the door pull handle. There's a plastic trim that's covering it. Again, use the plastic trim tool, go in here, and pop this out. There's four clips. It pops right out. Use a Philip's head screwdriver and remove the screw. Inside the door pull handle there's this little felt pad, lift that up and get it out of here and there's a Philips head screwdriver sitting right in the bottom there and that needs to be removed.
To remove this push clip, actually take a small flap bladed screwdriver. You push in on it and that unlocks it. Then I'm going to use the plastic trim tool to pop it up and out. The door panel should now just be clipped in place with those screws removed. There's clips along the outside edge. To take them off, you're going to have to start usually at the bottom of the door because the top of the door rolls over the sheet metal. Give it a good pull to try to separate it. Then lift it up. Door cables for the lock and pull handle are connected, so this top one is the lock, so it's a white cable. I'm going to push it up to unlock it, and then move it over and slide that little lead ball out of there. The green one is for the door pull handle, so pop that up and out and then pull these out. These are called Bowden cables. And we put the door panel aside.
Unplug the mirror harness. Push up on the lock. It's on the bottom. Pull the connector right out. To unbolt the mirror, there's three studs with 10-millimeter nuts on them. Use a 10-millimeter socket extension ratchet to loosen them all up. The mirror is clipped in place. Take the mirror off. So it is clipped in there, so right here. So I'm just going to give it a good tug here.
Here's our upgraded Trail Ridge towing mirrors we have for the vehicle. So these are slightly larger with a manual extension for towing, and then you'll just push them back in. Flip them over. These particular ones have blind spot monitoring included and heated and power. They also have the extra mirror at the bottom that is manually adjusted to where you want it to be. It will stay that way. These ones will adjust with the power. Then the outside, this one has the smoked turn signal and marker light bulb. These particular ones are plug-and-play. These will work great and fit great on your vehicle.
Going to install the Trail Ridge. These are plug-and-play tow mirrors. They'll install just like the original. Put the studs through the openings in the door. I'm going to hold it because it doesn't have a clip. It does help to have the window down so you can go through. Got one of the nuts ready to go. I'll get it caught on the stud here that's easy to access. I'll just thread it down with my fingers so the mirror doesn't fall off the door. There. The other nuts caught. Just tightening down. I don't want to pull the studs out of the mirror. Once I feel them get tight, I'll stop. Do the same for the other two. Finally, plug it back in.
To reinstall your door panel, this will be the same for both sides. Hook up the white Bowden cable goes in the top for the lock. Pull the ball through here, clip it in place. The green one is for the door handle, same way, put it in, clip it in place. Top of the door panel has a hook to it. It will hang on the sheet metal. Get it started up top first, push it down. Clips will push into place. Make sure that your wire is accessible for your master window switch. Little plastic push clip, after you've pushed it in you can push it back out and reuse it, go right in and lock in place. Reinstall the screw here. Reinstall the one on the door handle. Put this trim back in place. It’s got some clips, open up the door handle, line it up and snap into place. Put your little felt pad back in there. Triangle piece back on, just push into place. Master window switch, plug it in, push it in, and it locks. Then the door panel snaps into place.

I was hesitant on getting these opposed to OEM. If these came in Toyota Boxes, I would have been sold. All functions work as they should, including the turn signals and running lights which I didn't have originally. These will make towing my travel trailer a lot easier on my 08 Tundra.
Excellent, no noticeable difference from OEM

Bought these for my 2013, replaced regular mirrors. They look perfect, no vibration noticed at highway speeds.
The added running lights, turn signals, and blind spot mirror are great added bonuses. After buying these I see no reason to pay a lot more for OEM.
Easy install, about 1/2hr, no special tools needed.

Vibrate Alot

I bought these worried about the vibration but all the reviews said they didn't vibrate at all! Let me tell you these things vibrate very much. Not extended, 75 to 80 mph on the highway they will mame you sick. I contacted customer support asking if I mine got a "dud" pair, they were not very helpful nor seemed to care at all sustains that extended mirrors vibrate! So I returned them and just ordered OEM for 2.5 times the price. We will see. These mirrors looks awesome and are very easy to install if they didn't vibrate I'd give them 10 stars!

Perfect fit, easy installation, works as described.
For the money the quality is very good. Install was very simple and offered a secure fit. I have noticed there are new blind spots in my view however, this could be as a result of my accommodating this new perspective from a new mirror. All in the product has met my expectations.
Works well and Good Price

These are a good replacement for the OEM mirrors. They slide out well and, more importantly for me, fold in easily.
Defective product, Amazing Customer Service, great tow mirrors, BUY BLIND SPOT MIRRORS!

The passenger side mirror that came in with my first set, had a bent stud. It would not fit and was unusable. Called their customer service and they sent me a new pair free of charge. I didn't even have to send in the old pair. I am very impressed with their customer service.
The mirrors look nice and in great quality. Does not shake at highway speeds when fully extended. The heated mirrors works great, feels warm to the touch. Easy installation. Bottom mirrors slant up and down. The passenger side big mirror is very magnified. At first it was annoying but after towing my trailer, it is very useful for seeing objects behind the trailer especially when reversing. Also make sure YOU BUY MINI BLIND SPOT MIRRORS to attach onto your tow mirrors. Your blind spots will be hard to see with these tow mirrors. Makes a huge difference!!

6 months in and my driver side mirror broke. I folded it and heard a snap - now it won't stay unfolded. Poor quality
Excellent tow mirrors. To me, well worth the money for them. The vibrations other reviewers mentioned? Mine has it a teensy bit, but I have to be really paying attention to the mirror and it's case body to notice it. If I'm not actually trying to see it? It's not there. To be fair, pretty certain my stock mirrors had the same issue.

Bought these mirrors for to tow my toy hauler the fitment is like oem great product ! Glad u bought them
No more blind spots! Basic tow mirrors that do everything I need for a good price. 1Aauto was quick with delivery. Only negative is that one of the dowel screws broke during install and they do not sell individual replacement screws. Found the same size/thread dowel screw at the hardware store and cut it to size. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

Mirrors fit exactly in the Toyota holes. Plugs went in easily. Video showed exactly how to do it. They work as they should and I can now see around my camper when towing.
Reason of purchase was I made a road trip from South Central PA to Fort Worth Texas and back pulling a 24FT trailer. I was Leary buying aftermarket and not OEM mirrors with being in the OEM parts business. but I am very impressed with these mirrors. About a 40 minute install quick and easy. Price was great too. I would recommend to anyone.

September 18, 2024
The mirrors look great and are of excellent quality... but the view from them (mainly the passenger) for normal day to day driving without a trailer is not the best. The view/picture window through the mirror is wider but does not have the same coverage as factory mirrors for normal day to day driving. More blind spots and hard to find to see low when backing up while still being able to see behind me while driving.

Mirrors should be replaced in an "option for option" fashion. If your mirrors do not have the same options that are listed in our listing, there is a possibility that this mirror may not function properly.
These mirrors do not have blind spot so if your OE mirrors do, these would be incorrect.
