In this video we're going to show you how to replace the blower motor resistor. Usually you know if this is bad when your fan will work on some speeds, and this is you're A/C and heater fan. It'll work maybe on low and 2, but it doesn't work on 3 or 4, or vice versa. That's usually the sign that your blower motor resistor needs to be replaced. The only tool you'll need is a 7mm socket and ratchet with extension as well as a 7mm wrench.
On the passenger side of the engine compartment, the blower motor resistor is right here. Once it's unplugged, it's just two 7mm bolts. I'm going to start this one with a smaller wrench since this harness kind of makes it tough to get a socket on it, to get anything on it, really. Your resistor comes up and out.
Here's our old resistor and the new resistor from 1A Auto. You can see it's all the same. Fix that problem with your fan not having all its speeds. Hook this harness up. Put it down in. Take this one first.
