Good, quality parts. Installed easily. Great ride. An economical alternative to working on the air shocks and air pump standard on the 2007 Lucerne.

Ride is good. Instructions are non existent. On Buick you must leave the truck arm springs in place.
Great replacement for failed stock air system shocks

The stock air shock system had failed and parts stores only carried the air shocks. It would have cost over $800 to repair the stock system so finding this replacement kit saved a ton of money. They are also nice and firm.

Here are the downsides to these shocks. First, the mounts that came with them went in with some difficulty. They do not seem to be the exact same size as the factory mounts.Second, there are 2 speed nuts on the bottom of each of the old struts (so total of 4 on the back of the car). Three of those were broken on mine; replacement nuts were not included in the new kit. Lastly, there's an occasional clunking sound with the new struts. I ran them for two weeks and then checked them to insure I had installed them correctly. Everything seems lined up correctly, and all of the nuts are all torqued to the right amounts. But still the clunking sound. I THINK that it's the plastic cover on the outside of one of the struts sliding in and out of place. Other than that, the struts went in fairly easily and ride well. So I'm pleased with them.
Very happy

Good price. Handle well. Glad to be rid of faulty self leveling air shock system. Only minor irritation is that when removing old shocks, the heads broke off the bolts and the new shocks did not come kitted with new ones.

April 29, 2023
Was having a problem with my rear air shock system in my 1997 Buick Riviera. A 1996 Riviera I had several years ago did not have the air shocks when it came from the factory. So it made sense to use the coil spring conversion kit TRQ, from 1A Auto. One slight problem I had was the two threaded screws part at the top going into the top of the trunk was not wide enough. I drilled the holes the slightest bigger to make the 2 screws fit. They shocks fit great. The shocks raised the rear 1 1/4 inch. As the tag states, the shocks may settle in time.
Great just noisy

Purchased these to replace the air shocks that came on my 2007 Buick Lucerne. Installation was no problem for my Dad, but the traction control light and the brake light & swerve light will not go off permanently. I have had it on computer pad and the lights go off temporarily but come back on. What is my permanent solution to this? HELP
Good shock. Car does set slightly higher than stock, ride doesn't seem effected though

Customer Q&A
is this a replacement for the factory original self leveler air shocks?
August 22, 2017
Alexander A
10
This will be a conversion kit for the self leveling air shocks.
August 25, 2017
Alex P
Is this kit comparable to part # 19300025?
June 19, 2018
Fred G
10
In order to determine if a kit will fit your vehicle, you should match it up according to your year, make and model, and other trim specifications if listed below the listing.
June 19, 2018
Peter L
10
Well yes these parts are two different parts. The conversion kit basically removes the air ride. Its and spring instead of air not knowing if my air Compressor was working properly this is what led me to go with the conversion which was easy Like for like just took the air hose crimped it in zip tied it . The part # 19300025 the one you provide uses the air. Which would be ready plug and play but if you use the air and want to air not sure on that i didnt want to bother with pumps and lines and relays to run them . Hope this helps.
June 19, 2018
Josh L
What do you do with the air system to stop the compressor from running?
June 21, 2018
Bill G
10
Easiest thing to do is look on your owners manual for the fuse box. Look for the fuse that say compressor or ait ride. Try removing the fuse I am sure it will probably be like maybe 20 or 30 amp I am guessing. Pull that fuse it should shut it off it is what I plan to do when I get done. Let me know how it goes for you.
June 21, 2018
TIM D
10
Hello, You can pull the fuse out but it may turn a light on your dash.

So do these replace my factory air shocks?
June 25, 2019

Yes
June 25, 2019

10
Yes the replacement coil spring conversion kit was a perfect fit and are still working perfect .
June 25, 2019
J O
10
These will replace the factory air suspension and all of the perks of the air suspension such as auto level, ride adjust, ect. These are going to be coil springs rather than air suspension, so you can essentially disconnect the air compressor as there is no need for it with the conversion.
June 26, 2019

Using these will retro fit them . Your have air now these dont but they do fit right in i just pinched air hose and used zip tie to hold close . I bought these because mine had gone out and was not sure about tested compressor and how to test , location and other factors. Factory is better but i needed what was affordable and most convenient as i did it my self to save again. About 20k miles on them now and they seem fine still . hope this helps
June 26, 2019

Yes they worked great on my Bonneville

it comes as a kit so you can pick which parts you need. I didn't use the coil springs supplied in the kit. I removed all the old air lines. But it actually went together pretty easily and it's been working fine for the past year.

Will this product raise the back of my caddy so that my. 22 will stop hitting my rear fender??
October 9, 2020
Aaron W
10
Thank you for your inquiry, Aaron! These will not raise or lower the vehicle, they will keep it at factory height.
October 10, 2020

Do you need to remove the actual coil springs if you install these?
October 30, 2020
Anthony C
10
No!! But if you have new heavy duty coil springs it wouldnt hurt to change out..
October 30, 2020
Marlon C
10
This kit includes everything necessary to replaces the factory air springs with metal coil springs. You leave the coil springs on these.
October 30, 2020
Christa R
Are these shock very stiff? I prefer a soft ride in my 2009 Cadillac DTS.
January 21, 2021
Daryl D
10
This is meant to replace models with air ride suspension.
January 21, 2021
Corey M
Do these shocks level like air shocks?
October 27, 2021
Travis C
10
These parts are a conversion kit and will not level.
October 27, 2021
Emma F
10
You will need a leveling valve to make them self leveling
October 27, 2021
A N
10
No, but for everyday driving theres very little difference in ride feel and quality. Fewer components and potential issues as well.
October 28, 2021
Z R
10
No, they are also more of a firm ride. If your air system is in good shape, I would replace with air shocks. If not these do work ok.
October 28, 2021
Shawn P
do you have to use the two round washer that came with the kit? if I put both on small on bottom large on top i can't get a full nut when tightening down the nut, one pick shows not using then. Thanks
March 27, 2022
Paul L

Since every application is a little different and these work on multiple vehicles, we recommend installing hardware in the same order as the old ones and only using the replacement washers that match what was on the car originally.

Do i need an electronic bypass for no code messages?
November 4, 2022
Mark C
10
This conversion kit does not include the bypass sensors, so those would be required to permanently remove any error code messages.

What is the load capacity on these?
March 24, 2023
Todd A
10
Our parts are exact replacements for your vehicle's OEM parts. As long as your vehicle specifications match up with our listing, these parts will directly fit and function like the originals.
