Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a rear-window switch on a '97 Buick LeSabre. It'll apply to the '97, '98, and '99 model year LeSabres, and the procedure from the right door to the left is the same. All you'll need is a small, flat head screwdriver and a new window switch from 1AAuto.
Start by disconnecting your negative battery cable with an 8 millimeter wrench. Use a small pocket screwdriver, flat head, and pry up at the bottom end of the switch pack here and pull it out. There's going to be two clips, one on either side, I'm going to pry up on, pull the switch out.
There's two more clips, right on the inside here, we're going to pry this connector out.
The old switch and the new switch from 1A Auto, identical. It can only go in one way, match up your pins and holes, and snap it back into place.
Feed the front of it in and press down. Finish up by reconnecting your negative battery cable.
