Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace your mirror caps. You can see this 2007 Yukon Denali has black mirror caps on it. This is the same procedure for any GM SUV or truck that has this style mirror. You can see there's the black cap, and then the chrome cap just adds a little bit of bling, a little bit of class to it. These caps are available at 1AAuto.com.
So, you can see with the new cap there's release points on the top and you want to do that first. Then there are the tabs on the bottom. So, I'm just going to take my mirror, pull out on the textured part first. Get a very small sharp screwdriver up under there. Estimate where those release points were. I can also kind of pull the screwdriver through and pry just a little bit, and just use my fingers to stay in there. These may or may not release. This has a little damage on it, so it may release a little easier. Then you rotate it back. Two of my bottom ones have released. Then the last bottom one, released. If yours are all broken, it will be that much easier.
To put it back on you pretty much want to do it. You know what? I'm going to clean up this mirror a little bit first. I'm using a wet paper towel. I'm not using any soap or anything. Just get some of the dirt off of here. Then dry it off with another paper towel. For the new cap, you pretty much want to just put it on with one motion. Slide it into place. Make sure that the lower ones are going in their slot and then walk it in, like this. Use a slightly damp cloth to shine it up.
You can see here again the old black ones don't look too bad, but the new chrome ones give it a little bit of class and look a lot nicer, in my opinion anyways. The new chrome caps are available at 1AAuto.com.
Thanks for tuning in. We hope this video helped you out. Next time you need parts for your car, please visit 1AAuto.com. Also, check out our other helpful how-to, as well as, diagnosis videos.

We bought our mirror covers from1aauto and couldnt be happier. The website was easy to maneuver to find them . I called to confirm I was ordering the right ones , and they assured me they would fit. Once I received them , they where carefully packed in bubble rap I went to there site and the customer assist video walked me through it. I would highly recommend 1aauto to anyone needing parts .
