Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet. Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20 plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly. That's going to save you time and money. Thank you, and enjoy the video.
In this video, we'll show you blower motor replacement on this 1997 Pontiac Sunfire, same as any '95 to '05 Cavalier or Sunfire. Only tools you'll need are a 7mm and 6mm socket and ratchet.
First we're going to start down underneath the glove compartment, and there's three screws. One here, here, and here. We'll remove those three screws and then this whole panel will come off. Now with that out of the way, you can see here, the blower motor is held in with three 6mm bolts, and you can remove those bolts and then unplug this plug, which actually, if you can reach up in behind there and unplug the motor like that.
Okay. So, here's our original blower motor, and here's the 1A Auto replacement. You can see that the 1A Auto replacement's going to go in just like the original. The connection here is exactly the same. 1A's just has a little bit of a different angle and actually, we're going to put this one back in because there's nothing wrong with the motor in this car, although this little leaf probably makes a little bit of noise. But if in your car, the motor's making a grinding or a whiny or a high-pitched noise, this is a easy way to correct it. Just replace the motor and 1A Auto has them for you.
And these should be tight, but not super tight. Then you put the instrument panel cover back on. The panel just goes right up in here, and it has a locating pin here, and there's locating pins that come down from the dash as well that goes into holes here and here. And this is a Sunfire, so it has three bolts. There are different slots for the Cavalier, so the Cavalier may have a different number of three. It may have four of these bolts. And there you go!

Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the cabin air blower motor for a 2000 Chevy Cavalier. It's same operation for 1999 through 2005. You'll need a 7/32 socket, a socket wrench, and a new blower motor from 1A Auto.
You'll find the blower motor located in the passenger compartment foot well right below the glove box. You can see here there are three 7/32 screws that hold it in, and we're going to go ahead and remove those. Here, I'm using a 1/4 inch ratchet with a 7/32 socket, and I will fast-forward as I remove those three screws.
Find the connector there, and pull up on the tab and pull the connector out. Here's a side-by-side comparison of the old part and new part from 1A Auto. It's a direct replacement fit part.
To reinstall the blower motor, plug it in first and have the plug towards the back. Then go ahead and screw in your three 7/32 screws. I'll go ahead and fast-forward as I finish tightening those up.
