Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks!
In this video, we're going to show you removal and replacement of fog lights, as well as just changing the bulbs. It's a 2008 Dodge Ram. Same for 2002 to 2008, 1500, as well as the 2003 to 2009 2500 and 3500. You'll need new fog lights from 1AAuto.com, as well as a 10mm socket and ratchet.
You can access the back of your fog light pretty easily with the vehicle on the ground, but we're going to raise it up and just show you better underneath. If you're just looking to change the bulb, and for removal and installation, turn the bulb counterclockwise, pull it out, and you want to disconnect by pulling on the tab here and remove.
If you're just installing the bulb, reinstallation is just the reverse of that. Plug it back in. Put it in so it fits, and turn it to lock. You want to make sure you don't touch the glass part of the bulb when you're doing that, on the new bulb.
To remove a broken fog light, just remove these three screws. They're 10mm: here, here, and here. The light will come right out.
Reinstallation of the new light from 1AAuto.com, although we are just installing our old one, because it's in perfectly fine shape.
Put this side up in the first. Put it back in. Start the three bolts in. Tighten preliminarily. Check it from the front, and move it up and down if you like, and tighten up the bolts. Install the bulb as needed, and make sure it's plugged back into the harness. It's the same procedure for the driver's side.
Thanks for tuning in. We hope this video helped you out. Next time you need parts for your car, please visit 1AAuto.com. Also check out our other helpful how-to and diagnosis videos.
