Yukon 5.7L is 5 quarts, correct. So a 4 quart oil pan would not work or am I mistaken?

The 5Qt oil capacity you state probably includes 1Qt held in the oil filter found on the back of the engine on the driver's side. You do not mention the year of your Yukon but I bought the same pan for my '97 K2500 with Vortec 350 and it fit perfect. My pick up also has a 5 Qt capacity This was not an easy job since the front differential has to be dropped down to remove the pan. Also there are two braces attached to each side of the engine and running to the transmission dust cover that have to be removed and the starter as well.
That Pan should fit almost every small block Chevy from 1955 - present day.
