Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet. Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20 plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly, that's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
In this video, we'll be showing you how to replace the door jamb light switch on this '95 Accord same as any '94, '97 Accord and many Honda models. We're going to start by disconnecting your negative battery terminal. The door jamb switch is on the front. Kind of pull down the boot and there's a screw right underneath. Pretty much the same for the rear as well although the screw is on the bottom side. The switch is the same though. Pull that down. Unscrew. You might want to use your screwdriver to kind of break the seal. Pull it out. Unhook it. The switch from 1A Auto here's the new one. The exact same as the original. It will bolt right in. On this car, this switch is in okay shape so I'm going to reinstall the original one. These switches ... the indicator is if your dome light works when you open the passenger's door but it doesn't work when you open the driver's door, that's usually an indicator that the switch is messed up. Reconnect it. Push it down in. Push it nice and flush. Push the boot.
We hope this helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet. Please feel free to call us toll free (888) 844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the Internet and in person.

It was the right part at the right price delicered on time. It fit perfectly and fixed the problem of the dome lights staying on. I would definitely recommend looking to 1A for all of your auto parts first. I have always been happy with the parts i have ordered fitting and working and the prices are great.
Did the job!

My courtesy lights are no shutting off again when the door is closed.
I will say the installation of these guys is a bit difficult and I did find ways to make it simple which where not described in any info I found online. I was very concerned about breaking something because of the amount of force it took to release the old units and disconnect them.
The second door was much easier than the first and they did the job.
Cheers
Dome light works now.

Door ajar light had been on for years in my Ford Ranger, so I'd had to keep the dome light bulbs out. New switches fixed that. These are a monumental PITA to change for what they are, but they fit snug and work well.
