NOTE: This factory Ford tool is designed to work only with factory OEM Ford Wheels & Sensors. It may work on other aftermarket parts, however we cannot guarantee this.
How To Train Your Sensors:
Ford vehicles newer than 2007 commonly use TPMS sensors that monitor air pressure in the tires. The sensors communicate with the vehicle through an access point at each wheel that must be "trained" or programmed to communicate with. This is done using this inexpensive TPMS Training Tool by following a few easy steps.
Step 1: Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Step 2: Press and release the brake pedal.
Step 3: Turn the ignition switch from the OFF position to the RUN position 3 times, ending in the RUN position.
Step 4: Press and release the brake pedal.
Step 5: Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Step 6: Turn the ignition switch from the OFF position to the RUN position 3 times, ending in the RUN position. The horn will sound once and the TPMS indicator will flash if the training mode has been entered successfully. If equipped, the message center will display "TRAIN LF TIRE".
Step 7: Place the tire pressure monitor activation tool on the LEFT FRONT (Driver Side) tire sidewall at the valve stem. Press and release the test button repeatedly on the TPMS Tool until the horn beeps. (It may take up to 6 seconds for the tool to activate the sensor. Leave the tool on the sidewall for the whole 6 seconds). The horn beeping verifies that the BCM (Body Control Module) has recognized the TPMS sensor.
Step 8: Within 2 minutes of the horn sounding confirming programming of the LEFT FRONT (Driver Side) tire sensor, place the TPMS tool on the RIGHT FRONT (Passenger Side) tire sidewall at the valve stem and press the test button to activate the sensor.
Step 9: Repeat step 7 for RIGHT REAR (Passenger Side) followed by LEFT REAR (Driver Side) tire in that order. The procedure is complete after the last tire has been trained. When complete, the message center (if equipped) will display "TIRE TRAINING COMPLETE". For vehicles not equipped with a message center, successful completion of the training procedure is verified by turning the key to the OFF position without the horn sounding. If the horn beeps twice when the switch is turned to OFF the training procedure was not successful.
NOTE: If the vehicle, wheels, or sensors have been stationary for more than 30 minutes, the sensors will go into a "sleep mode". It is necessary to "wake them up" by moving them or rolling the tires before they will communicate with the vehicle again.
NOTE: The TPMS training procedure must be done on 1 vehicle at a time, in an area without radio frequency interference (at least 3 feet away from other vehicles equipped with TPMS sensors).
NOTE: Vehicles with different tire pressures front/rear like F-Series Pickups and E-Series Vans also require TPMS re-training after a tire rotation. Failure to train the sensors will cause the TPMS warning light to light up on the dash.

Hey friends. It's Len here at 1A Auto. Today I want to show you something super neat. We have a Ford TPMS reset tool. When you have a Ford vehicle and your tire pressure gets low, the TPMS light will turn on. You'd want to check the tire, see if you have any issues. Find no issues, you put the tire back at the specs and then you put the vehicle into learn mode. Okay? You can check out how to do that right on the internet, super easy.
Then you just take this tool right here and you bring it over to the tire. Usually you start with the left front tire, then you go right front, right rear, and then left rear. You start at the left front, push this little button. The red light turns on, says, "I'm ready to go. I want to talk to you." It talks to the left front sensor. As soon as you hear the beep, beep, light's going to turn off. Then you go to the right front, right rear, left rear. At the end you'll hear beep, beep, beep. A couple of extra beats on that last one. That just says it's all set, and your reset procedure should be done.
With that said, if you need this tool or any other, you can always check us 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

I recently purchased a TPMS Training tool for my son's 2009 Ford Escape and it worked great just as described.
What a time saver, in a matter of minutes we reprogrammed all 4 sensors and turned off the low tire pressure warning lamp!

well the first prt to ensure you have the right air in the tire... second on the sensor there is a bettery it will last four to ten years third buying the sensor from A1 come pre programed. About 50% saving a good thing. Buying the tool is a good item to have for the vehicle. Easy to use. have the sensor changed out when you replace the tires if can let the deal cahnge out the sensor would be about 100 1 tire. best
