Quick delivery. Never needed to install part as it seems some critter chewed the wires off at the connector. Ended up only needing to replace pigtail (apparently a common problem whe u live in the country).

The shown VSS is located on the drivers side at about the middle of the case. It is posible to also have the earlier style VSS on the drivers side of the tail housing.

After I drive my '97 Expedition (5.4) 30-45 mins., the O/D light at the end of the shifter starts blinking and it shifts hard. Is this a faulty speed sensor?

It can be. It can also be a ABS problem, or brakes. It can also be a differential problem. There may be metal particles in your differential. Check for leaking brakes, metal in the differential. Change the differential fluid. Check the ABS error codes.

Does this part fit "late 1999 Ford F-250" with 4R100 ? The bracket looks wrong " looks like this is the vss sensors for rear differential" also this part is only listed up too 1999 and that's not correct. A 2000 output shaft sensor fits perfectly

There are multiple speed sensors in the vehicle. We would not have exact locations on your application. We would suggest getting the vehicle properly diagnosed to confirm which specific sensor is needed to be replaced prior to placing an order.
