Hi. I'm Mike from 1A Auto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years.
What's up, guys? I'm Andy from 1A Auto. In this video I'm going to show you how to replace the cabin filter on this 2012 Ford Escape. If you need this part or other parts for your vehicle, click the link in the description and head over to 1aauto.com.
We're going to remove this part of the cowl. We just want to lift it up. So, we want to remove these push clips. You can use a Phillips head screwdriver. Lightly unscrew the little clip. The push retainer. We can use this tool, and we actually sell this tool at 1aauto.com. Get underneath the clip. Slide it out. These are plastic, so sometimes it's hard to unscrew them and just pop them out. You can sometimes get them from underneath it. Pop it up. Pop them out that way. With those four removed, you can just slide up on this just like that. Underneath here is a little clip. So you're going to get underneath the clip and pull it towards you. Right there. Right here. With this lifted up and this cover lifted up, this vehicle didn't have a cabin filter equipped. What you're going to want to do is just check to make sure the screen is okay and that there's nothing blocking the screen.
All right, we'll take the new new cabin air filter. Slide it in position. You're going to want to make sure you push it down all the way. That looks good. We'll slide this cover back down. Line the tabs up. Lock that down. We can put this cowl back on. Now we'll take these push pins. Get these lined back up. Sometimes you have to twist them a little to get in. And then we can lock them down in place. And do that with the other three.
